What a great day year 6 had at the science fair today. We welded chocolate, saw animals on the ‘zoo bus,’ raced against time in The Accelerator, played hands free fruit ninja, and of course collected lots of freebies! Here’s just a few pics…
Tomorrow is our trip to the NEC for the science fair. It looks like it will be a fab day! Don’t forget your packed lunch!
Today’s bread tasting and evaluating went well, we tasted brioche, ciabatta, wheat germ bread and fruit bread, then evaluated them in terms of their smell, taste and texture. The favourite bread in 6M was just too close to call between the brioche and the fruit bread!
We finally get around to starting our bread making topic this week, which begins with the all important taste test. On Tuesday afternoon we will taste a variety of different types and flavours of bread (none containing nuts) so do make sure if you have any allergies to let me know before then.
I wonder if you can predict which breads we might try?
Now that we have finished our geography topic, we will be going back in time once again and picking up on life in Britain from the 1950s.our first few lessons will be all about new town planning
We have lots of exciting things to look forward to in year 6 this half term:
-The Big Bang Science fair
-P.E lessons at the field (in good weather)
And lots more!
Well done to last weeks star of the week… 🌟 Ella Wilkes 🌟
